Abstract

This work aims to diagnose the level of traditional use and knowledge of medicinal plants as a source of therapeutic resource for elementary school students II College Municipal Carlos Pereira da Silva and their frequency. It was a literature search and survey data with completion of questionnaire according to the proposed objective. Where sought to highlight the problems with regard to knowledge of medicinal plants through generations within the socio-cultural context, rescuing traditional values. It was found that since the beginning medicinal plants have been used therapeutically as a source. Although humans have evolved over time and space, yet retains its ancestral values, largely using this alternative therapy medication. The traditional use of medicinal plants means many times, the only way to treat some rural communities. This study aimed to diagnose the level of traditional use and knowledge of medicinal plants as a source of therapeutic resource for final years of Elementary School students at Municipal School Carlos Pereira da Silva and their frequency. It was a literature search and survey data with conducting surveys in accordance with the proposed objective. It was found that since the beginning medicinal plants have been used therapeutically as a source. Although the human has evolved in time and space, still retains its ancestral values using this alternative therapy largely for medication.
