Visões sobre o fracasso escolar na perspectiva de diferentes sujeitos

Abstract

School failure, blame, disapproval and disappointments mark the school space and the lives of many students because they are believed to be incapable of developing in the educational environment. From this, this research aimed to present the visions of different subjects about the school failure related to a student of the public school of the city of Amargosa - Bahia. The research has a qualitative character and data collection took place through semi-structured interviews with three subjects: a teacher, a student and the mother of the same. The interviews sought to investigate the causes attributed by these three subjects to the failure of the interviewed boy, whom we call Pedro. The work also seeks to understand the historical roots of school failure, and for this it dialogues with authors such as Gomes (2004), Machado (1997), Mattos (2011), Frochtengarten (2011), Oliveira (2017), Patto (2012), Valladares (2005), Foucault (1999), Paro (2001) Guimarães (2017). The organization of this research is divided into three chapters: Chapter 1 - The Possible Roots of School Failure, Chapter 2 - Methodological Pathways, Chapter 3 - Different Views on School Failure: Perspectives of the Subjects and Conclusion.
