Participação de estudantes na elaboração de material didático: contribuições para uma aprendizagem significativa

Abstract

This research had as objective to analyze how the process of elaboration of didactic material for the teaching of botany and, more specifically of a booklet, produced with the participation of the students, can contribute positively to the teaching-learning process. A total of 40 students and a student from a state college in the municipality of Cruz das Almas-BA participated in the study. The research had a qualitative approach. The analysis of the Botany study was made from the insertion of vegetables present in the students' daily life as well as the construction of a didactic material with contributions for a meaningful learning and the questionnaire was used as instrument of data collection. It was identified in the previous knowledge that the students did not have much mastery over the Botany, however after the classes on Plant Morphology one can notice changes in relation to the learning of the students. In order to construct didactic material it was necessary to map the characteristics that the students and the teacher thought were adequate to compose the booklet focused on the teaching of plant morphology, there were many common answers among them. It is believed that the construction of the didactic material in a participatory way, including daily plants, allows that this learning can become more dynamic and interesting for the student, facilitating its understanding and the assimilation of the proposed themes.
