Abstract: In this study, parasites associated with oyster (Crassostrea rhizophorae) were studied in a unit of cultivation in the river estuary in Graciosa Taperoá, Bahia. Monthly, 20 oysters were collected and measured between the Apr/2011 to Mar/2012 and fixed in 10% formalin. For the identification of parasites was used routine histological techniques with inclusion of paraffin and getting cuts with 7 microns, stained with Harris Hematoxylin and Eosin and examined under light microscopy. In the area of cultivation, evaluated parameters for the quality of the water showed that the temperature ranged from 23.91°C to 29.34°C, salinity from 0.43 to 24.25 and precipitation of 80mm to 406.44mm/month. In the parasitological analysis were observed infestations of polychaete Neanthes succinea in 41% of the oysters. From histological techniques were identified colonies assimilated organisms Rickettsiae (RLOs); protozoa Nematopsis sp., Ancistrocoma sp. Turbelário the Urastoma sp., The metacestode Tylocephalum sp. Flatworm and unidentified. The data showed low infection intensity and prevalence of parasites, except for Nematopsis sp., attest to the good health of oyster cultivation.
