Abstract

The objective of this study is to carry out a survey on the challenges encountered in the application of Educational Public Policies, in the urban state schools in the municipality of Cruz das Almas-BA for students with sickle cell (DF). A DF is characterized as a type of hemolytic disease that, when not properly accompanied and treated, can cause damage to the development of the individual, mainly in adolescents of school age, and the work was developed from the application of a questionnaire in four schools. Medium teaching in the municipality of Cruz das Almas, the same were answered by their respective managers and subsequently analyzed according to the frequency of the responses, where it was possible to verify that two of the four participating schools are still unaware about Sickle Cell, as well as, about the presence of students in the institution with sickle Cell, One of the schools presented a better knowledge and performance for the students than the Sickle Cell, a school at which an educational action had never been carried out with the LADA/CCAAB/UFRB. In general, there is still a need for a greater performance as a whole, in the municipal and state spheres with the schools.
