“Nervos á Flor da Pele”: trabalho feminino e sofrimento mental em uma fábrica calçadista no interior da Bahia

Abstract

This study presents some characteristics of female work in the Brazilian context. and its repercussions on women's subjectivities. It is proposed to search for the implications on the mental health of workers in a shoe factory in the interior of Bahia. For this, the research is anchored through a socio-historical perspective of the insertion of women in the labor market. The question sought to be answered is the following: What is the impact of violation of rights in the mental health of workers in a factory in the footwear sector? In this itinerary, work is presented as an essential operator in the constitution of subject who, in the development of the productive forces, was reinvented according to the logic of a unreasonable process of intensification of working hours. Here, the role of female workers, describing the sexual division of labor as an instrument of the precariousness of the I work. The methodology that subsidizes this writing is the analysis of pertinent bibliographies that deal with the work category, the precariousness of work and elements that touch the advances in women's labor rights in Brazil, as well as the qualitative interview carried out directly with the workers. This investigation seeks qualitative data that encompass the negative psychic burden imposed on working women, triggering in mental suffering. Dissatisfaction with the non-compliance with the material realization of the work, for objective limitations of the workers' bodies, causes them suffering. Factor this is justified by excessive charges or the burden of prejudice and violation of rights involved in the work act. Here we will expose the results of the research carried out through the qualitative analysis of four (04) semi-structured interviews. had the strategy methodological the collection of sampling by snowball-snowball to capture the extra workers of the footwear sector in the municipality of Amargosa-Ba. It was concluded from our analyses, that precarious work causes interference in the psychic field, when human subjectivities are denied to the detriment of the intensification of work.
