Engpesc Rádio Web: contribuições sociais e acadêmicas de uma Rádio Web Universitária

Abstract

University radios emerged to expand knowledge and research, until then focused on academic environments, were of great relevance for communication, as they made distance learning possible, the dissemination of information and presented themselves as social technologies aimed at educational communication. Thus, the general objective of this work was to analyze the social and academic impacts of EngPesc Rádioweb. As a methodology, document analysis was used and application, on an online platform, of a questionnaire with internet users, aiming to understand EngPesc radioweb in the construction of culture and education and expansion of its actions. The questionnaire allowed collecting information from 152 respondents. The radio developed several actions such as lectures, lives, live interviews, mini-courses and dissemination of material that generates knowledge and professional appreciation in the field of fishing and aquaculture, and related areas of agrarian, being recognized by several representative entities of Fisheries Engineering, in addition to public feedback, as evidenced in the questionnaire and in the various messages that the radio receives on its social networks, about the actions carried out by the radio. We can conclude that EngPesc Rádioweb is characterized as a social and educational radioweb, whose main benefits are academic practice and contact with the community.
