Análise das interrelações entre cultura e educação no currículo dos anos finais do ensino fundamental em Santo Amaro/BA

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the interrelations between culture and education in the practice of teaching culture in the final years (6th to 9th grade) of Elementary School in the municipality of Santo Amaro (BA). In order to carry out this research, this work identified and analyzed some effects of the implementation of the following education policies and laws: National Education Guidelines and Framework Law (Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação – LDB 9.394/96); Lei 10.639/03, which made the teaching of African and Afro-Brazilian Culture and History obligatory in public and private schools; Law 11.645 / 08, which included the mandatory teaching of the History and Culture of Brazilian indigenous people; the National Culture Plan (PNC) and the Municipal Culture Plan (PMC), as well as the curriculum matrix for Elementary School established by the Santo Amaro Municipal Secretariat of Education. The results from this research indicate that, in the municipality of Santo Amaro, it was necessary to create a specific subject in order to comply with the current legislation, as well as to deepen the dialogue between the national and municipal culture plans and the education guidelines of the municipality.
