Programa Nacional de Alimentação Escolar (PNAE) e o desenvolvimento da agricultura familiar no Município de Presidente Tancredo Neves - Ba

Abstract

The research, exploratory aims to analyze the National School Feeding Programme - PNAE as family agriculture development factor in the municipality of Presidente Tancredo Neves. Therefore the population chosen for implementation of the data collection instrument were fourteen farmers, the executing agency in the city and four directors of schools they are strategic actors involved in the program. The technique used was qualitative, descriptive and exploratory character from the case study of family farmers from Tancredo Neves President of the municipality from 2013 to 2015 were conducted 22 interviews that match the population of this research. The results reveal that information and training on the PNAE constitutes a necessary action to meet the demands of family farmers, given that many of them can not access it by lack of knowledge. The survey also revealed that although some farmers get access PNAE, which is an important step forward in the commercialization of the community, many point out that it is a market that is still not enough to ensure regular trade reflecting the reduced percentage attributed to family farming, making much of the production is not sold.
