Abstract

This work is concerns fruit about the Humanization theme in health. As a relevant theme to the work of social services in health institutions, we sought to reflect on its possible relations with the ethical-political project of social service, as well as contribute to the debate about a literature theme still under construction, but of great importance for the realization of the right/ access to quality health care. Considering the historical profile of the struggle for health consolidation, we sought through this work, elucidate the trajectory of his achievement as a right, by building a policy that seeks to universalize health services. In this same perspective, the social service is placed in the context, searching over the years to suppress the charitable view that historically pervaded the profession and assume its role as intervening agent, legitimized and governed by a code of ethics that provides political basis to interfere with the capitalist society, from the perspective of law and fight against social inequalities. Finally, he tried to work through this reaffirm the importance of the route taken by the health as a public policy and relate its proposal Humanization, the ethical-political project of social service looking check for possible convergences and challenges.
