Biometria de frutos e sementes e uso de bioestimulante na emergência de Hymenaea stigonocarpa Mart. ex Hayne (Fabaceae – Caesalpinoideae)

Abstract

Among the 19 species described for the genus Hymenaea, the largest present in Brazil, Hymenaea Stigonocarpa is one of the most prominent national thanks to its wide distribution, thus this work aimed to characterize biometrically the fruits and The seeds of the species and evaluate the influence that the use of commercial biostimulants can provide the germination of the seedlings. For biometrics were used fruits collected from matrices located in Cruz das Almas, BA, being measured the dimensions of length and widths (for fruits and seeds), average thickness of fruit peel, number of seeds per fruit, and masses of Whole fruits, bark, seeds with pulp and clean seeds (by fruit and individually), the results obtained were presented in the form of histogram and through means, standard deviations and coefficients of variation. Four replications of 13 seeds for each of the five treatments were used to evaluate the emergence using the biostimulants, with 24h of imbibition in Stimulate to 0.5% (T1) and 1% (T2) of concentration; Liquid Gibberellin at 4% GA3 (GA3 4% L) at 5 mg/L (T3) and GA3 at 10 mg/L (T4) and Water (T5). The emergence percentage and the emergence Velocity index were evaluated, and no significant results were obtained until 31 days after sowing, indicating the efficiency of commercial biostimulants for the evaluated parameters.
