Manda nudes? : a pornografia de vingança como nova ferramenta da Violência de gênero na sociedade da selfie

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze how technological advances in the media, such as the big bang¹ of social networks¹ have become weapons under the domain of people who use them to expose, coerce or defame the image of women around from all over the world, act now named pornography of revenge. Bringing this phenomenon closer to our reality, we sought to understand through bibliographical, literary and documentary references, which factors would be decisive for the consolidation of this type of violence. The fruit of this work, part of a case study carried out in a city in the interior of Bahia where through interviews with victims of revenge pornography, we were able to understand the particularities of crime in the life of each of the victims, such as walking the paths of the legal measures that could be taken by them and beyond anything, show that this type of crime is a new configuration of gender violence in our society.
